Established 1814, the silversmith-turned-instrument maker George P. Pilling & Son Co. manufactured and exported surgical, dental and veterinary instruments. They also mass-produced hearing aids and stethoscopes throughout the 1800s.

Numerous overlapping signs, the brightest of which incorporates a large circular seal or logo, along with remnants of a phone number or address "505". At bottom, can see remnants of sign company's tagline "OUTDOOR ADV".
